Steve Barratt is a retired Sales and Marketing executive with a career spanning 39 years. He and his family moved to New Jersey for a job promotion in 1993 and never left. That is when he realized how good the New Jersey public education system is. The kids had to play catch-up for a couple of years.
After retiring, Steve became a poll worker and a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. This is in addition to working on a very mediocre golf game!
Steve has been active in various government and electoral reform initiatives over the years.
Reform, particularly Electoral Reform, is a slow process and Steve realized it would be faster to work on reform from the inside. He was given the opportunity to run with Steven Fulop and took it – enthusiastically.
“My kids and their families are committed to New Jersey. I intend to work to leave the state better than I found it. Changing the process by which we elect our leaders is the critical first step to that goal.”
